What are your hobbies?

I love traveling and being active.  That includes working out at the Y, running, and playing/ watching sports with my husband and 3 kids.

How long have you worked in the MPSD?

14 years

What is your favorite book?

La Casa de los Espíritus by Isabel Allende

What is the best advice you ever received?

You never lose.  Either you win or you learn.

How did you decide to go into education?

I knew I wanted to go into teaching to help kids and watch them grow.  I have always loved the Spanish language and culture so teaching Spanish was an easy choice.  Now that I have taught for a number of years, I am realizing that the best part of teaching is all about the positive relationships formed with students.

What is your favorite movie?

A League of Their Own

Who is your role model?

My grandma has always been my role model.  She was a teacher, and one of the most caring people I have ever met.  She taught me to live life to the fullest and to treat obstacles as opportunities to grow.
